2008 West Point Diversity Leadership Conference

This year's conference - DLC 2008 - will examine various facets of diversity. Studying the aspects of diversity will lead to insights into significant but often overlooked inequalities inherent in our professional and social terrain - inequalities that often determine opportunity. This major theme of the conference is discussed by Betsy Lucal and Morten G. Ender (USMA Faculty) in their introduction to The (Un)Lucky Seven: An Introduction to Inequalities: Readings in Diversity and Social Life. In particular, they note that in the United States and around the globe there is a persistent need for agreement on how to achieve equality of opportunity.
